Marion Hayden – String Bass
Marion Hayden is on the faculty of The University Of Michigan. She is the leader of the Grammy nominated group Straight Ahead, recorded on the Atlantic Records label. She is a trained classical bassist having studied at both the University of Michigan and Michigan State University. Marion has performed or recorded with such luminaries as Marcus Belgrave, Roy Brooks, Kirk Lightsey, Ralph Peterson and James Carter.
